About Me

I'm a design educator and researcher interested in how design practice, tools and methods can be used to answer research questions, solve problems and innovate.

I'm currently an Associate Lecturer at London College of Communication and I have extensive teaching experience at HE level from working at; Winchester School of Art, Kingston University, City University and Suzhou Art Design Technology Institute in China. I'm also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an external examiner for University of West London and Northampton University.

My writing has been published in the Journal of Communication Design, the journal of Cultural Politics and I have peer-reviewed for Convergence journal.

Previously I worked as freelance and in-house designer for a range of agencies and clients in London including; Adjaye Associates, Moving Brands, Nokia, Laurence King Publishing and The Architecture Foundation.

I just about survived an MRes in Arts and Cultural Research at University of Brighton and an MA in Design with Teaching and Learning from Kingston University. Going back a few more years, I studied on the BA (Hons) Design Studies programme at Goldsmiths, University of London.

I also work as an unpaid butler to a small spaniel.
